Moulded 200 year old Russia leather platter

Made from 200 year old ‘Russia’ leather which was salvaged from a ship wreck of the Metta Catharina.  (The ship sank in 1786 with its cargo of ‘Russia’ leather made in St Petersburg and destined for Italy). Layers of leather are moulded and shaped, the edges burnished to a high gloss finish.
